In this talk, Dr. Filby will present OPTIMAL, a framework for optimizing and validating existing tools for single-cell segmentation of multiplexed tissue images, data QC and normalization as well as clustering and spatial neighbourhood analysis. Dr. Filby will present this approach both in the context of well-characterized human tonsil tissue as a benchmark but also as part of the UK Coronavirus Immunology Consortium (UK-CIC) project using Imaging Mass Cytometry™ to understand disease progression in postmortem tissues.
